Sample Artifacts

Students are paired strategically for small group learning to promote discussions and academic achievement as well as healthy, social interactions amongst peers. When students work together towards a common goal, they are motivated to support each other’s learning in an inclusive classroom environment.

Technology is utilized throughout many subjects in my classroom. Here, students are actively engaged in a formative assessment while working towards an identified ELA standard. Students participate individually and their scores are then taken for data purposes to modify and establish future instruction.

In order to promote and maintain a positive classroom climate, students work together to create a personal social contract to adhere to throughout the year. The shared behavior expectations between the teacher and students allows students to be personally invested in the established environment they are creating within the classroom. This is also used as a behavior management tool to refer to when students are breaking the signed social contract to manage consequences and expectations.
